Week 5 of Mango's pregnancy

Mango is starting to look quite round now, and is beginning to exhibit signs of pregnancy.......... although a voracious appetite is normal for a labrador! In fact, all the books said she would go off her food, especially in the mornings, and this did in fact happen - for about three days.  She is now hungrier than ever and we are beginning to increase her food this week, so Mango is a happy girl! She is also more affectionate than usual and enjoying lots of cuddles, and is still keen to go out for walks as usual.

Mango is pregnant! Its official!

Wow its so exiting - we took mango to the vets this evening and we got to see some of her puppies - they are about two centimeters long at the moment and we saw at least five but the vet said there are probably loads more in there! We are all so excited and it is starting to sink in now!
We have noticed that mango has been off her food in the mornings and although she still looks sleek she has put on 2 kilos since December (and that's not just because of Christmas!)
